Conference to explore innovative ways to fix the US transportation system. As Congress struggles to restore the solvency of the federal Highway Trust Fund, states and localities are blazing new paths to generate sustainable funding for their vital transportation infrastructure. 35 states now use toll financing to build and operate limited access road infrastructure. Over a dozen US states are exploring road usage charging (RUC), a policy of assessing fees for the use of roadway infrastructure across an entire roadway network.
