Together with the Ministry of Transport of the Czech Republic, the ERTICO academy is hosting a training event titled “Planning for Autonomous Mobility” on April 9th and 10th, 2024, at the Ministry of Transport of the Czech Republic in Prague. This event will focus on navigating the regulatory landscape and best practices for autonomous vehicle (AV) deployment.
Day 1 of the training will cover topics such as the role of Cooperative, Connected, and Automated Mobility (CCAM), regulatory challenges, and infrastructure readiness. Success stories from various European Union member states will be discussed, including legislative frameworks, testing versus real operations, and stakeholder preparation.
Day 2 will focus on planning for large-scale AV and CCAM deployment, including opportunities in European grants, AV pilot initiatives, and workshop sessions on pilot development in the Czech Republic. Discussions will also cover business models, upgrade needs, and deployment strategies in urban and interurban landscapes.
