On 12 May, the Horizon 2020 MODALES project, coordinated by ERTICO, will mark the end of its journey of almost four years with a one-day final dissemination event at the ERTICO Office in Brussels.
MODALES has been working on solutions to reduce air pollution from all types of road vehicles. These include encouraging the adoption of low-emission driving behaviour and appropriate maintenance practices, as well as the potential of ODB data and retrofits, and also looking at legal aspects with respect to tampering. It is the first project that considers the interaction of powertrain, brakes and tyres and driver behaviour to develop knowledge and guidance for low-emission driving.
Since September 2019, the 18 partners of the project have been working together to achieve that ambitious and important vision. The MODALES app for drivers has been developed and tested in real conditions in the project’s trial sites in Europe, together with low-emission training videos, to assess their effects on the drivers’ behaviour.
The MODALES Final Conference, which will take place at ERTICO (Blue Tower, Avenue Louise 326), offers a unique opportunity to learn more about the project’s key results and achievements, and to share best practice and future opportunities for emission reduction in the road sector.
Check out the draft agenda here and register here free of charge. Registration is required to attend the event and spots are limited, so make sure to register today!
