The Academy

The ERTICO Academy is a unique training programmes powered by ERTICO in-house experts and its partners. The ERTICO Academy facilitates learning and enables participants to upskill with trainings provided by experienced mobility experts on a wide range of mobility and transport topics and state-of-the-art resources. The topics discussed all have a common aim of improving the mobility system by making it safer, more efficient and better connected.

Unique Approach

ERTICO Academy is using a flywheel approach, consisting of 4 training levels. Depending on the training skill set and knowledge requirements of Public Authority for the capacity building, ERTICO Academy will choose the combination of the training levels to deliver the new skillset in the most efficient way.

e-Learning Platform

Through the web-based platform, we offer training courses and educational resources to public and private stakeholders wishing to learn more about mobility solutions that could improve the current transport system. It provides a trainee an opportunity to access courses and education resources at its own pace. It caters to audiences with beginner, intermediate and advanced levels of understanding smart mobility, multimodal network, traffic management and more! Expert Training

ERTICO expert team, of in-house and Partnership experts, builds and delivers tailored courses for urban mobility organisations or for specific cohorts of mobility professionals, in order to allow them to overcome specific challenges. By leveraging our unique expertise in deployment of innovative solutions, we probe a wide variety of course topics and formats.

Peer2Peer Training

We offer a collaborative capacity building where cities learn from each other’s experience and materials. Public authorities and their teams can learn from the leading urban professionals one-to-one, and access case studies, governance and policies in a comprehensive Peer2Peer knowledge exchange.

Missions Training
We offer an upscale and twinning of the knowledge from the Experts and Peers training in order to generate a highest level of hands-on experience among all the trainees. We design on-site training programmes with duration of the 2-4 days, that includes knowledge assessment, reporting and certification. This learning experience generates the long-term capacity building and the highest level of impact on the upskill.

Training programme covers a wide range of the topics in transport and mobility delivered by ERTICO Academy – either as Expert, Peer2Peer or Missions Training. For all three training levels, modules’ content, format, methodologies and length can be customised and new training programmes can be developed depending on the Public Authority and its stakeholder needs and interests. The ERTICO Academy provides a training programme on the following modules

Digital freight
Digital freight use an open, fully connected network that uses machine learning, automation, and other software services to efficiently connect shippers and carriers. This module provides all types of organisations from introductory to in depth knowledge on the topic.
Clean and Electro mobility, Decarbonisation
This module will provide cities or organisations trainings on clean and eco mobility solutions, and how to enable its deployment in a sustainable and efficient way.
Access to EU funding programmes
The EU provides funding for a broad range of projects and programmes covering almost all areas. This module will help organisations and cities find their way through these opportunities and provide tips and tricks on how to create a successful proposal
New mobility services & MaaS
New mobility services and MaaS are considerably changing urban transport. This module will give organisations and cities the latest available developments as to enable a connected and integrated mobility network in one’s city.
5G & Internet of Things (IoT)
5G & Internet of Things (IoT) are continuously becoming more integrated in transport and mobility. This module will give organisations and cities the latest updates on these topics.
C-ITS
Cooperative Intelligent Transport Systems allows road users and traffic managers to share information and use it to coordinate their actions. It has the potential to improve road safety, traffic efficiency and comfort of driving. This module provides introductory to in depth knowledge on the topic.
Procurement
Procurement module offers broadening your knowledge on institutional and regulatory framework of innovative solutions related to digitalisation, mobility data spaces, C-ITS, MaaS, CCAM and transport and logistics; better understanding of the implementation of the European Regulation and procurement procedures for deployment of innovative solutions.
SUMPs
A Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan (SUMP) is “a strategic plan designed to satisfy the mobility needs of people and businesses in cities and their surroundings for a better quality of life.” This module provides a training for cities to help them develop a SUMP and put it into action.
