The ecoDriver final event will take place on 16 – 17 March 2016 at the Mercedes-Benz Museum, in Stuttgart, Germany.
The 12 partners of the ecoDriver project have been working for over 4 years in ITS to help drivers reduce fuel use and emissions. The eco-Driver project has developed different systems and has tested them in the most extensive eco-driving trial ever carried out in Europe. The results will be revealed at the Final Event.
Road transport is essential for the mobility of people and goods, thus for social and economic wellnes, but it is responsible for around a quarter of the EU’s energy consumption and about a fifth of its CO₂ emissions. Decarbonisation of road transport requires actions in many fronts: one of them is eco-driving. Integrated eco-driving systems empower the driver and result in enhanced safety, fuel savings and minimised greenhouse gas emissions to the environment.
