i-Transport and UATP Conference and Exhibition

Hosted every second year since 2001 by the Intelligent Transport Society of South Africa, the i-Transport Conference and Exhibition has become an established and well-supported event on the transport calendar as a platform for knowledge sharing to promote the sustainable deployment of ITS projects.

i-Transport 2017 will be co-hosted by ITS South Africa, the African Chapter of the International Public Transport Association (UATP) and ITS Africa on 14-17 February 2017 at the Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg, South Africa. This paves the way for significantly greater continent-wide and international participation.

The theme “Go Green – Go Smart” reflects the need to improve transport efficiencies, to reduce the carbon footprint of the transport sector and to encourage modal shifts. The theme specifically reflects the strong synergy between Public Transport and Intelligent Transport Systems.
