Big Data Europe Workshop

Big Data Europe is undertaking the foundational work for enabling European companies to build innovative multilingual products and services based on semantically interoperable, large-scale, multi-lingual data assets and knowledge, available under a variety of licenses and business models.
The Transport Societal Challenge sets its eyes to contributing to smarter, safer and cleaner transport using beyond-state-of-the-art data solutions giving rise to a European leadership for new mobility services.

Objectives

The primary objective of this workshop is to showcase the Big Data Europe data platform applied to the Transport pilot site in Thessaloniki. The pilot demonstrates the features and flexibility of the big data integrator platform, allowing participants to understand the potential of the Big Data technologies made available by the project. Further Big Data needs from workshop participants will be taken into account to improve future prototypes. The workshop targets European stakeholders to participate in the definition of the Big Data needs and requirements for the European intelligent transport domain.
