Australia’s ‘National Road Safety Strategy 2011-2020’ is closely aligned with the Global Plan for the Decade of Action for Road Safety 2011-20 proclaimed by the United Nations in 2010 with the goal of stabilising and reducing the forecast level of road traffic fatalities around the world by 2020. Australia’s strategy presents a 10-year plan to reduce the annual number of both deaths and serious injuries on Australian roads by at least 30 per cent, with initiatives focussing on the four key areas of – safe roads, safe speeds, safe vehicles and safe people.
Join us at this Business Networking Event as panellists will examine what is being done to help achieve this road safety target; what has been achieved to date; which initiatives have been successful and what work still needs to be done to help make our roads safer.
