The Italian EU Presidency conference ‘Transport safety: societal challenges, research solutions’ brings together the key players in the field of transport safety and experts in the corresponding research domains. The objectives of the conference are to raise the profile of transport safety research in Europe, to identify research and innovation needs and future priorities, to improve safety throughout the European transport system, and to contribute to achieve the EU’s target for “vision zero”, or zero road fatalities.
