CHORUS joins the EU Road Safety Cluster and strengthens

The CHORUS project has joined the EU Road Safety Cluster, further strengthening ERTICO-led and ERTICO-partnered projects' contribution to European collaboration on safer, smarter, and more sustainable mobility.

The EU Road Safety Cluster brings together European research and innovation projects working across different areas of road safety, creating opportunities to exchange knowledge, share results and identify synergies between complementary initiatives.

CHORUS joined the Cluster after other ERTICO projects became involved in its activities. CAMBER currently leads the EU Road Safety Cluster, supporting collaboration between participating projects and helping to coordinate joint activities. Meanwhile, EvoRoads contributed to the Cluster’s Joint White Paper on data-driven road safety, highlighting the role of data and digital technologies in supporting safer mobility.

With CHORUS now joining the Cluster, ERTICO further contributes to this collaborative effort through the project’s work on Cooperative, Connected and Automated Mobility (CCAM), multimodal orchestration and urban mobility.

Through its participation, CHORUS will bring perspectives from its work on integrating automated and conventional vehicles with public transport, cycling, ridesharing and other mobility services. The collaboration will also provide opportunities to exchange knowledge with other European initiatives and explore how research and innovation can support the development and uptake of safer and more user-centred mobility solutions.

The participation of CHORUS reflects the value of bringing together projects working from different perspectives and across different aspects of road safety. By connecting research, innovation and practical experience, the EU Road Safety Cluster provides a platform to build synergies and contribute to the wider European ambition of reducing road deaths and serious injuries.

CHORUS will contribute to the Cluster’s ongoing exchange of knowledge and experience, while continuing to explore opportunities for collaboration with other projects and stakeholders working towards safer and more sustainable mobility across Europe.
