Jean-Charles holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering (MSEE) from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, Lausanne (EPFL) and a MSEE from the Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, USA. He built his career at Bosch Corporate Research in the field of Driver Assistance with focus on predictive navigation. Before joining ERTICO in April 2009, he was seconded by Bosch to ERTICO from 1996 to 2003.
He first developed a shared vision for ITS in Europe 20 years ahead and then developed many activities related to map databases and driver assistance. He has been the Coordinator of the ADASIS Forum, SENSORIS and eMI3 since their creation. After the eCoMove project he is now coordinating the optiTruck project. A Swiss national, he speaks French, English, German and some Greek.
