Ensuring Europe leads the way
To be effective, ITS must be coherently coordinated across borders. Representing all stakeholders in the ITS sphere in Europe, ERTICO are uniquely placed to advise decision-makers, ensuring that ITS is recognised as an enabler for decarbonisation.
We engage with the European Institutions to encourage innovation and deployment of mobility, contributing towards directives, and help develop standards that enable the seamless European roll out of ITS.

- Digital transport and logistics forum (DTLF)
ERTICO is a member of the DTLF, which brings together EU policymakers and the ITS industry to develop a European vision for the digital transformation of freight transport and logistics. - Expert Group on Urban Mobility (EGUM)
ERTICO co-lead the EGUM group on urban space and future of urban mobility. - European ITS Advisory Group
ERTICO assists the EU Commission in the development of standards, policy, and deployment of ITS across the European Union.
We strenghten alliances across Europe and beyond
ERTICO works closely with the European ITS Nationals Network to share knowledge and promote smart mobility across local and national levels. Through this collaboration, dissemination of expertise and key insights while gaining valuable input on local, regional and national needs and initiatives are the very heart. This two-way exchange strengthens ITS deployment and ensures alignment between European strategies and national priorities.
ERTICO establishes strategic partnerships with like-minded organisations through Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) to foster collaboration across borders and sectors. These alliances promote mutual interests, support the exchange of best practices, and encourage joint efforts in research, innovation, and policy development.
In addition to our advocacy, we coordinate ERTICO partners to access and participate in EU-funded projects and innovation platforms.

The ERTICO Academy empowers professionals and students across the mobility ecosystem with expert-led training designed to build capacity, foster innovation, and accelerate smart mobility development. Developed by ERTICO’s in-house specialists and leading Partners, the Academy offers a wide range of learning formats, from free online courses to bespoke multi-day programmes.
City Moonshot
By interviewing 300 cities worldwide on their smart mobility challenges, needs and trends, the City Moonshot Initiative helps us understand how best to support and facilitate the change required. By offering cities a platform to express their goals, the City Moonshot contributes to more informed, responsive, and impactful mobility strategies.
