As momentum continues to build for the 33rd ITS World Congress 2027, an exceptional number of organisations have already confirmed their participation well in advance of the event.
With 18 months remaining until the Congress, this early uptake, recorded ahead of the first early bird deadline 30 April, reflects the continued relevance of the ITS World Congress as a global platform for collaboration across the mobility ecosystem.
Co-organised by ERTICO in partnership with ITS America and ITS Asia-Pacific, the Congress will be hosted at Birmingham’s NEC through a collaborative effort involving Transport for West Midlands (TfWM), the UK Department for Transport, and ITS UK. This international cooperation is set to reinforce the strategic importance and global reach of the event, bringing together thousands of participants from across the mobility ecosystem.
Jasvinder Sidhu, ERTICO’s Commercial Partnerships and Exhibition lead, noted the “remarkable level of early commitment”, emphasising that exhibitors represent a broad spectrum of the industry, not only from the UK but from around the world. “The organisations confirmed to participate encompass original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), national ITS bodies, Tier-1 automotive suppliers, experts in smart infrastructure, system integrators, telecommunications firms, as well as companies specialising in digital and cloud solutions,” she explained. “This diverse array of international participants underscores the event’s far-reaching appeal to key players across the global mobility and transport technology sectors.”
While the demand is already gaining pace, organisers encourage prospective exhibitors to act swiftly to secure their participation and their preferred spot in the exhibition hall. The early-bird rate for stand bookings is only available until 30 April, providing companies with an opportunity to engage with the event as early as possible, obtain premium exhibition locations and optimise their return on investment.
“The Congress will offer attendees access to immersive demonstrations of next-generation mobility solutions,” added Jordan Cowley, Business Development Executive at TfWM. “These will include integrated transport ecosystem models, advanced control tower concepts for real-time network management, and data-driven optimisation systems designed to improve efficiency and sustainability. Alongside these showcases, a comprehensive technical programme and a globally recognised exhibition will provide a platform tailored to executives and senior decision-makers shaping the future of transport.”
