TISGRADE
Traffic management Information Services upGRADe Europe
Impact
The project aims to improve the availability, quality and interoperability of Real-Time Traffic Information (RTTI) across Europe. By strengthening the entire data value chain – from data collection to end-user services: TISGRADE will enable more reliable and harmonised traffic information. This will support safer and more efficient travel, reduce congestion, and contribute to more sustainable mobility, in line with the European Green Deal and the Sustainable and Smart Mobility Strategy.
Objectives
- Deploy advanced tools for data collection, creation and digitisation of traffic management information
- Improve data quality through validation of static and dynamic RTTI datasets, including speed limits, roadworks and closures
- Upgrade National Access Points (NAPs) to enhance interoperability, accessibility and user experience
- Establish a continuous public-private feedback loop to improve RTTI data quality
- Engage road authorities and stakeholders to ensure long-term adoption, alignment and sustainability of RTTI services
