ERTICO – ITS Europe will return to Barcelona this November for Smart City Expo World Congress, Tomorrow.Mobility World Congress and Tomorrow.City, bringing together global perspectives on how technology, innovation and collaboration can help shape the cities and mobility systems of tomorrow.
Taking place from 3 to 5 November at Fira Barcelona Gran Via, the three events will bring together cities, public authorities, industry, academia, innovators and mobility stakeholders to explore the solutions and partnerships needed to turn urban ambitions into real impact.
Connecting the dots between smart cities and smarter mobility
As urban environments continue to evolve, mobility sits at the heart of many of the challenges and opportunities facing cities. From sustainable and seamless journeys to connected infrastructure, digitalisation, AI and new mobility services, the transformation of transport is closely connected to the wider transformation of urban life.
Smart City Expo World Congress 2026 will focus on the bridge between urban ambition and implementation, bringing together more than 25,000 attendees, 1,000 cities, 1,000 exhibitors, and more than 600 speakers. The programme will explore key issues including enabling technologies, sustainable mobility, energy and environment, governance, infrastructure and people centred urban development.
Alongside the main event, Tomorrow.Mobility World Congress will provide a dedicated meeting point for the global mobility ecosystem. Co organised by Fira Barcelona and EIT Urban Mobility, the three day congress will explore the ideas, technologies and partnerships transforming the way cities move, with a strong focus on efficient and sustainable mobility and the transition from innovation to implementation.
ERTICO at the heart of the conversation
ERTICO’s participation will provide an opportunity to connect with partners, cities and stakeholders from across Europe and beyond, sharing perspectives on the development and deployment of Intelligent Transport Systems and innovative mobility solutions.
Through its public private partnership model, ERTICO brings together industry, public authorities, academia and other stakeholders to foster collaboration and accelerate innovation across the mobility ecosystem. Our presence in Barcelona will offer an opportunity to exchange on the role of cooperation in addressing complex urban mobility challenges and moving promising solutions from development towards deployment.
Further details on ERTICO speakers, sessions, projects and activities will be announced in the coming weeks.
From Barcelona to a wider urban innovation community
The conversation will extend beyond the physical events through Tomorrow.City, the digital platform created by Smart City Expo World Congress to share knowledge and content on cities and innovation. Covering topics across urban development, technology, mobility, sustainability and other areas shaping the future of cities, Tomorrow.City provides an additional space for knowledge exchange beyond the annual gathering in Barcelona. Together, Smart City Expo World Congress, Tomorrow.Mobility World Congress and Tomorrow.City create a broader ecosystem for connecting ideas, people and solutions. For ERTICO, this reflects an important principle: the future of mobility cannot be shaped in isolation. It depends on bringing different perspectives together, building partnerships and turning innovation into impact.
