Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) Dubai celebrates its 20th Anniversary on 1st November 2025, a perfect moment to reflect on two decades of innovation, collaboration, and impact. With Dubai hosting the 30th ITS World Congress 2024, organised by ERTICO – ITS Europe, RTA's anniversaries underscore the strength of our shared commitment to transforming mobility worldwide.
The Dubai ITS World Congress brought together the global mobility and transport community under the theme of "Mobility Driven by ITS" with close to 15,000 participants. Through an excellent selection of over 200 technical sessions, live demonstrations and a global exhibition of over 175 exhibitors, the Congress showed how innovation, cross-sectoral collaboration and strategic deployment are shaping the future of mobility, from automated mobility to sustainable transport solutions and digitalisation of urban mobility.
This success reflects the partnership between RTA and ERTICO, a collaboration which made possible the year-round planning, global outreach and seamless event experience that welcomed thousands of participants from across the world. The value of this partnership is not only in the event, but in the momentum created: new networks, knowledge exchanged and concrete pathways to a greener, safer, more connected mobility ecosystem.
