The LeMesurier project is measuring the 2ZERO Key Performance Indicators toward a carbon-neutral European road transport. This Coordination and Support Action (CSA) is developing a framework that tracks the 2ZERO’s project portfolio against the Partnership’s Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda (SRIA). Over the past weeks, LeMesurier organised two webinars targeting 2ZERO project coordinators and technical coordinators, proposal writers and new projects. The project will host its Final Event on 4 December.
Webinar 1: On-Boarding to the LeMesurier Methods
The webinar introduced LeMesurier’s role in monitoring progress toward 2ZERO’s zero-emission transport goals. Simon Edwards (Ricardo), the project coordinator, outlined the project’s role in assessing 2ZERO projects through surveys, KPI monitoring, and its Digital Twin for evaluating emerging technologies. Benedetta Trignani (2ZERO) shared updates on the 2ZERO extensive monitoring framework and reporting activities.
Webinar 2: Accounting the KPIs of 2ZERO
The second webinar explored how the project measures progress toward the 2ZERO Partnership’s strategic objectives. Simon Edwards and the project partners Verena Wagenhofer (AVL), Eleni Papaioannou (CERTH) and Giannis Papadimitriou (Emisia) outlined methodologies supporting current and future 2ZERO projects through robust KPI assessment, from a detailed multi-step approach for evaluating Direct KPIs to the modelling work for Compound KPIs and the LeMesurier Digital Twin.
The project findings will help the Partnership adopt more consistent evaluation methods. LeMesurier will provide recommendations to guide future partnerships, aiming to ensure research investments lead to measurable benefits for sustainable mobility, as well as recommendations aimed at projects.
ERTICO is involved and coordinates several 2ZERO projects which participated in the LeMesurier assessment. The project’s findings are crucial in helping new projects to understand their impact on zero-emission road transport. Its results will guide future proposals to ensure a better alignment with the 2ZERO objectives.
