ERTICO - ITS Europe is working closely with ITS Asia-Pacific and ITS America to co-organise and develop the Congress Programme for the 32nd ITS World Congress in Gangneung, from October 19-23, 2026. This collaboration across regions underscores the event's global nature, giving you direct access to breakthrough innovations, influential decision-makers, and the trends transforming the world’s transport and smart mobility landscape.

Under the theme Beyond Mobility, Connected World, the Congress will bring together the international intelligent transport systems (ITS) community to explore innovations, exchange expertise and discuss the technologies and policies shaping the future of mobility.

Through its contribution to the Congress Programme, ERTICO facilitates the participation of European organisations, providing opportunities to present innovative solutions, share research and engage with experts from across the global mobility community.

Meet us on-site at the UK & ERTICO - ITS European Pavilion (P17)

Throughout the Congress, ERTICO will welcome participants to the UK & ERTICO – ITS European Pavilion (stand P17), co-created with Transport for West Midlands (TfWM) and LCRIG in support of the UK Government.

Bringing together nine co-exhibiting organisations and companies from across Europe and the UK, the Pavilion will showcase innovations in connected and automated mobility, intelligent traffic management, road safety and emerging technologies, including humanoid robotics.

Through live demonstrations, presentations, workshops and networking opportunities, participants can connect with industry experts, explore practical mobility solutions and meet the team behind the 2027 ITS World Congress in Birmingham, UK. Beyond Mobility, Connected World

The 2026 ITS World Congress will highlight automated driving and electric vehicles, smart infrastructure, mobility services, AI-driven & data-centric systems, policy and governance.

The Technical Programme features plenary sessions, executive sessions, special interest sessions, technical and research paper presentations, and interactive discussions. These sessions provide a platform for experts to examine current challenges, share practical experience and explore how intelligent transport solutions can move towards wider deployment.

Connecting regions at the Three Region Reception

On Thursday 22 October, ERTICO will join ITS Asia-Pacific and ITS America for the Three Region Reception, bringing together the international ITS community at the Korea, ITS America and ERTICO stands.

The reception will culminate at 17:30 at the UK & ERTICO Pavilion, where ERTICO will officially open the Call for Contributions for the 33rd ITS World Congress in 2027.

As ERTICO celebrates its 35th Anniversary in 2026, the occasion will also provide an opportunity to reflect on decades of international cooperation and look ahead to the ideas and innovations that will shape future editions of the Congress.
