From 10 -13 March 2026, Intertraffic Amsterdam will once again bring together the global mobility community for four days of innovation, knowledge sharing, and networking. As the world’s leading event on smart, safe, and sustainable mobility, this edition will feature over 900 exhibitors, seven summit stages, 300 knowledge sessions, and more than 30,000 professionals from 145 countries.
ERTICO's team of experts will have a strong presence at the 2026 edition of Intertraffic Amsterdam, one of the world’s leading trade events for smart mobility, infrastructure, traffic management and road safety.
With several colleagues on site throughout the event, ERTICO will actively contribute to high-level discussions and knowledge exchange shaping the future of intelligent transport systems, including CEO Joost Vantomme and Dr Vassilis Agouridas, who will present the IDI Platform, highlighting its role in fostering interoperability, data sharing and digital innovation across the mobility ecosystem.
Unlocking Europe’s Road Safety Data Potential
On Tuesday, 10 March, ERTICO will bring road safety to the table from 11:15 to 12:00 in Summit Theatre 1. Mr Vantomme, together with members of the DFRS platform, will discuss how to “unlock the European data chapter for road safety.” The session will focus on the DFRS–SRTI ecosystem and its role in enabling trusted data sharing for safer roads, as well as the platform’s cooperation with Euro NCAP, demonstrating how collaborative data use can support vehicle safety advancements and help reduce road fatalities across Europe.
Integrating Traffic and Parking Management
ERTICO Head of Green and Urban Mobility, Dr Tamara Djukic, will also participate in the co-organised session of the European Parking Association (EPA) on Wednesday, 11 March, from 10:00 to 11:15 in Summit Theatre 1. TM2.0 and EAVP, ERTICO platforms, will be presented in this session titled Traffic Management Meets Parking Management: An Integrated Approach.
The session will explore smart and sustainable parking, integrated traffic management, and how cities can improve accessibility and liveability through coordinated policies. Presentations will feature case studies from Amsterdam, Antwerp, and Lille (TBC), alongside perspectives from technology providers such as Yunex Traffic.
On Thursday, 12 March, Vassilis Agouridas, Senior Manager at ERTICO and co-chair of the IDI innovation platform, will participate in the session “Embedding urban air mobility in sustainable urban mobility planning”.
The discussion will examine how Urban Air Mobility and large-scale commercial drone operations can be integrated into local transport networks in line with the EU Drone Strategy. While these services offer opportunities to enhance efficiency and sustainability, local authorities must address key challenges related to safety, public acceptance, governance, service coordination and economic development.
On the same day, the CAMBER project will be featured in the session “Eyes and ears on the road: from real-time condition sensing to real-world maps”. The session presents results from the Belgian 5G-RoadMonitoring project, which enables real-time road condition monitoring, traffic sign detection and continuously updated digital maps. Given the strong alignment with CAMBER’s objectives, Be-Mobile – a partner in both 5G-RoadMonitoring and CAMBER, and part of the ERTICO partnership – will highlight CAMBER’s data-driven approach to road safety, demonstrating how real-time sensing and high-quality map data support safer and more resilient road infrastructure.
Meet the team at the UK – ERTICO European Pavilion in Hall 2, Stand 118
For the first time, a UK – ERTICO European Pavilion is being co-hosted by ITS UK and ERTICO – ITS Europe, bringing together leading SMEs, consultants and researchers along with the team behind the 33rd ITS World Congress, which comes to England’s West Midlands, 25-29 October 2027.
Representatives from Transport for West Midlands and ERTICO will be available to discuss opportunities to participate as a delegate, speaker or exhibitor. There will also be a panel discussion in the afternoon of Wednesday, 11 March, starting at 14:00 CET.
Alongside the insights into Birmingham 2027, the Pavilion will also present opportunities to join the smart mobility community at the next stop in the journey, the 17th ITS European Congress held in Istanbul, 27-29 April 2026.
AECOM, Agilysis, Alchera Technologies, Clearview Intelligence, Navtech Radar, Neology UK, TRL and the Transport Technology Forum will also be represented on the stand, highlighting the range of innovation being developed in the UK today. Participants can also explore the most recent work by ERTICO’s Innovation Platform, Enhanced Automated Valet Parking (EAVP).
“There is a growing sense of excitement among our members for Birmingham 2027, and so being able to showcase the Best of British at an event like Intertraffic is a great opportunity to share that enthusiasm,” commented ITS UK Chief Executive Max Sugarman, who is organising the UK Pavilion. “This is the last Intertraffic Amsterdam before the World Congress comes to Birmingham’s NEC, so we want to highlight why it is a must-attend event, and if you’re not involved, you’re going to miss out”.
This will be the first time in 21 years that the UK has hosted the ITS World Congress, after it was held in London in 2006. The 33rd ITS World Congress takes place at the National Exhibition Centre, and is expected to welcome more than 15,000 people from around the world.
