ERTICO’s innovation platform Enhancing Automated Valet Parking (EAVP) will be featured at this year’s ITS World Congress in Atlanta, with a dedicated Special Interest Session (SIS71) titled “Automated Valet Parking for Automated Services.”
EAVP brings together OEMs, parking operators, and service providers to unlock the full potential of Automated Valet Parking (AVP). The platform’s work is AVP-type agnostic and therefore fully compatible with Type 1, 2, 3 of AVP, AVDS standards, and LSAPS (low speed automated parking systems), while fostering standardisation, legislative alignment, and large-scale deployment opportunities. EAVP is actively involved with the development of APDS parking standards and in the development of a lighthouse project to showcase AVP’s urban mobility benefits.
The session in Atlanta will address the gap between the introduction of AVP in Europe and wider market adoption. Speakers representing operators, airports, technology providers, and public authorities will share perspectives on user needs, interoperability, and the role of AVP in enabling value-added services such as EV charging. This session will explore the evolving ecosystem of Automated Valet Parking—from operational deployment needs to the end-user perspective. In addition, EAVP will be present at the ERTICO booth throughout the Congress to share insights and engage with stakeholders.
