Partnerships are the driving force behind our commitment to revolutionise mobility for everyone. ERTICO unites various stakeholders in the ITS community to enhance the safety, efficiency, and sustainability of mobility.
The ERTICO Partnership, which started with 15 members in 1991, now has more than 120 members spanning eight sectors in transport and mobility. Our members include service providers, suppliers, the traffic and transport industry, research, public authorities, user organisations, manufacturers, and the connectivity industry. Together, we are leading the digital transformation of transportation by advancing cutting-edge technologies, introducing new services, and creating innovative solutions for the more intelligent movement of people and goods. Our holistic approach shapes the future, ensuring the voices of ITS are influential in conversations with institutions and policymakers.
Joining the Partnership
Being part of the ERTICO Partnership is an important way to connect the dots between different sectors across the mobility ecosystem. The Partnership provides synergy across stakeholders, organising the strategic planning and implementation of intelligent transport systems and innovative mobility solutions in Europe and across the world.

ERTICO Partners play an important role at our European and global events: presenting and discussing new approaches, sharing ideas, networking, and building visibility. The ERTICO Partnership bridges the gaps between stakeholders in the ITS community to support knowledge exchange and share the latest trends and approaches. It anticipates new technologies and the deployment of innovation. Keeping the conversation up to date, the Partnership brings together diverse interests and know-how. It is a forum for knowledge sharing, on the opportunities and challenges ahead, shaping the development of mobility beyond individual interests into a shared vision.
Our shared mission is to:
- Connect local and regional transport organisations with national authorities
- Promote active and sustainable collaborative relations with EU institutions and policymakers
- Perform testing to support the deployment of interoperable ITS and smart mobility solutions
- Contribute to standards for applications and services, and steer standards towards global harmonisation including the International Organization for Standardisation (ISO), European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI) and European Committee for Standardisation (CEN)

Connecting Sectors
ERTICO brings together sectors from across the ITS community to help make mobility safer, more sustainable and efficient. To facilitate engagement, we organise sector and cross-sector meetings. Sector meetings enable collaboration, networking and innovation among sectors, while and cross-sector meetings target two specific sectors to foster dialogue across the ecosystem, discussing opportunities for collaboration within ERTICO and beyond. Both types of meeting are attended by representatives from the European Commission, creating an opportunity for ERTICO Partners to maintain contacts with EU institutions and new policy developments.
Our Partnership Events
The primary aim of our Focus On events is to enhance understanding of current and future developments in the mobility landscape and its players. The events cover panel discussions on specific topics and an exhibition of platforms and initiatives facilitated by ERTICO. Designed to help our Partners to contribute to the realisation of smart and sustainable mobility objectives, Focus On events are a forum for debate, leveraging knowledge exchange and sharing expertise with representatives from the European Commission, who provide updates and outline future EU priorities. Our latest edition, co-organised with the Transport Technology Forum (TTF), focused on micromobility, emphasising the importance of policies, infrastructure, and technology in shaping the future of urban mobility. Speakers highlighted the need for evidence-based policy discussions and regulatory frameworks to ensure the sustainability and viability of micromobility solutions. The next event in November 2024 follows the strategic direction and action points derived from the ERTICO Strategic Think Tank on 11th June 2024.
Business Development Opportunities
ERTICO Newsroom provides frequent updates to the broader ITS community and our external stakeholders. The ERTICO newsletter and monthly events calendar reach a varied audience of more than 5,000 subscribers, giving ERTICO Partners a unique opportunity to enhance their profile and market directly to this audience. This includes contributing original content to our newsletter and online channels, showcasing projects, sharing technology updates, conducting interviews, and announcing events.
We also organise Round Tables and Deep Dives on topical themes under the auspices of the ERTICO Strategy Committee. These include Mobility Data Platforms, AI in Traffic Management, remote transport systems and automated robots, EU Mobility Data Space Development, Air Mobility & Innovative Aeria Services, and more. Partners exchange views and discuss issues with stakeholders including the European Commission and industry and public partners, from within and outside the ERTICO Partnership.

ERTICO Partners have access to all networking opportunities that we offer, with the potential to raise your profile with an engaged audience and foster greater international cooperation. Our partners become part of a shared vision and endeavour with other ITS pioneers worldwide.
ERTICO Premium Partners have all the opportunities described above plus the ability to access the proposal development process and tap into the IP and financial benefits that can result from innovative ITS projects. Premium Partners participate and engage at the highest level of ITS World and European Congresses.
